40 Hour Ultrasonic Testing Level I

This course includes a basic introduction to the theory and principles of ultrasound. It contains study materials related to the propagation, reflection, and attenuation of sound as well as the responses from discontinuities. The student will learn to understand the equipment used in this discipline. UT is also used for precise thickness measurements and the basic procedure for this is covered. This 40-hour course exceeds the instruction outline and criteria specified in the ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, NAS410 and ASNT Standard Topical Outlines for Qualification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel (ANSI/ASNT CP-105).
